Vendors

As all Desert Steel Motorsports events are sponsor-driven, commercial events with very much a family slant to them, vendors are an important part of the fun, and business, and have been for nearly a decade.

It is very important to let us know exactly what you plan to sell at our events, we try not to have multiple vendors selling the same merchandise unless the event is large enough to support it. In these cases, it is first come-first served, but seniority with us counts as well as we support those who have supported us through the years. Please note that food and beverage vending is especially limited, and as we have our own hot dog and chili vending trailer we reserve vending those products exclusively for ourselves at all of our events.

It is a requirement that any vendors hold a local business license. In the case of Lake Havasu Events an annual City license will enable a vendor to sell at both our events and the Run to the Sun (if you are a vendor there). A state resale certificate is required and satisfactory insurance also. If you are vending food or beverages an appropriate County Health Permit will be needed. You will be required to supply us with copies showing these, and possibly insurance certificates naming us.

Our events are commercial, and as such we advertise and promote them locally, regionally, and, in some cases, nationally. Our Baja in Havasu off-road race, and the Ramada Express Havasu Happening both feature ten days of display advertising in the local and regional newspapers, eighteen-30 second radio spots per day for ten days preceding the event, 75-30 second commercials on the cable television systems serving Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City and Kingman. These air on ESPN, Fox Sports, A&E and CNN in these markets. Also, the events are featured in Tristate Motor News with full page ads plus all possible event calendars and display advertising in appropriate national specialty publications.

Add to all of that 250 color posters distributed by Budweiser throughout the Tristate and banners displayed around the city and it is no wonder that these events have achieved dynamic growth.

Check for specific times per event and vending is allowed on set up day. Space is on a first come first serve basis. Space is not guaranteed and no one will be allowed to set up until payment is received in full in certified funds. Duplication of vendors will be avoided whenever possible. Food and beverage opportunities are very limited at all events and do not exist for the WOW. Desert Steel Motorsports holds the exclusive hot dog/chili dog and nacho concession at all events.
